Tailormade Ireland is a family run, specialised business now in its seventh year of trading. Our clients enjoy a high quality of service in sporting activities, bespoke client entertainment and tailor made itineraries.

We have developed our research within these areas and continue to establish an excellent relationship with our suppliers to provide our customers with a high quality of service.

During the 2007/8 season our customers enjoyed a variety of shooting in some of the most wild and beautiful parts of Co. Kerry.

It is important that guns have experience in shooting and "to get your eye in" we can offer clay pigeon shooting lessons with renowned instructors.

SNIPE & WOODCOCK

Snipe
Towards the west of Ireland Snipe appear in the raised heather bogs, riverside marshes, rushy fields, estuary bogs and salt marshes from September. Although technically the season begins on 1st September, we do not allow these migratory birds to be shot until after the full moon in October.

Woodcock
To preserve the numbers our Woodcock are never shot until the November full moon, which usually means towards the end of November. The woods are not keepered and, apart from agricultural and forestry workers, there is little disturbance.

Ghillies and working dogs are supplied to provide good sport.

It needs to be remembered that snipe & woodcock are wild birds and weather dependent so bags are unpredictable.

STALKING

The Donegal Highlands and the Kerry Mountains are littered with gouging deep glens and peat-stained, fish-rich rivers that tumble to the Atlantic. For the stalker the experience is like wilderness deer-hunting rather than formal Scottish stalking.

There is a maximum of two stalkers to each guide. Red & Sika deer are the species. Sika, the little Asian deer, increases continually. Red Deer are larger but less plentiful.

The best shooting months for stalking are from September to December, however the season extends to February. After December the stalking becomes more challenging and the herds begin to scatter, depending on weather conditions.

FISHING

SEA TROUT AND SALMON FISHING

River Blackwater
The Blackwater is renowned for some of the best salmon fishing in Europe. The river is over 70 miles long rising in Kerry and reaching the sea at Youghal. Due to its size of numerous tributaries the Blackwater maintains a high standard of fishing even in dry conditions. We offer four private beats, covering four miles of some of the best stretches on the renowned Munster river. Not only are the beats particularly productive they are also extremely scenic.

Season:- 1st February - 30th September
Rods: - Up to 12 rods can be accommodated on beats at one time. Most beats can accommodate up to 3 rods at one time.

Donegal
Below the hills of Donegal there are excellent opportunities to fish for sea trout. Loughs are located in picturesque landscape where the hills meet the water offering plentiful sea trout. Boats can be hired with outboard motors and accessible from jetties located at most of the Loughs including Dunglow, Glen, Alek more, Beagh. All these Loughs are known for their run of sea trout. Recently, three anglers took 200 sea trout to their boat in seven days!

Season:- July - 30th September (early Salmon fishing also available from 1st January)
